What to pack

Make your walk as comfortable as possible - and record great memories - with these essentials
- Water bottle
- Hat or cap (wide-brimmed hats are better - they protect your neck and ears as well as your eyes)
- A small backpack or day pack
- Sun block & lip balm
- Beach towel
- Swimming costume
- Wind breaker or raincoat
- Camera (nah - not your cell phone. Leave that in your bag at your accommodation.)
- Binoculars and your favourite bird book (and a pen or pencil, too)
- Sunglasses
- Personal medication
- A torch (useful when walking from the Sandpiper Sports Centre to your cottage at night).
- Marine shellfish license (necessary if you plan to take out a few white or black mussels)
- Hiking sandals
- Hiking boots with thick socks
- Shorts and jeans
- T-shirts
